Children’s Ministry Summer Internship

 

Description

A college or graduate student interested in gaining field experience in the area of Children’s Ministry. As a Children’s Ministry Summer Intern, you will develop/enhance the skill set for foundational ministry in the area of students aged K-5th grade.  Children’s Ministry Summer Interns work directly for Children’s Ministers/Directors and are primarily responsible to assist in a variety of ways in order to accomplish children’s ministry through the busyness of the summer.  Children’s Ministry Summer Interns will emerge with a heightened ability to meet the challenges of summer student ministry; as well as develop leadership skills. Our Interns will work hard every day and learn more than ever thought possible. This is not just any summer internship —it is an unparalleled opportunity to embrace the exceptional. 

Children’s Ministry Summer Interns are responsible for the following:

  • Weekly interaction with students K-5th Grade.

  • Plan, coordinate, conduct, and evaluate special events such as camps, retreats, banquets, fellowships, etc.

  • Oversee the planning, coordinating, conducting, and evaluating of children’s special events.

  • Conduct special training projects for youth workers in proper relationship with other phases of the Church.

  • Advise in the use of program materials, equipment, supplies, and space by children’s groups in all Church program organizations; make budget recommendations for a viable summer youth ministry.

  • Lead the recruitment, training, and allocation of human resources for an efficient ministry to the children’s department.  

  • Provide the leadership to encourage participation by all youth in the ministry opportunities of the church.

  • Manage submit an accurate and timely summer budget in regards to related ministries.

  • Available for after-hours special events and evangelistic ministries.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Children’s Minister/Director.
