Many conversations with churches and pastors can range in topics such as theology, church structure, ministry philosophy, and preaching style. The common denominator within almost every conversation always reverts back to the topic of Leadership. Churches today are longing for leadership while, unfortunately, very few pastors are in a position to provide it. If pastoring were simply preaching and caring for people, like much of what we learn in seminary classrooms, then pastoral ministry would be rather simple. Being a pastor requires leadership. It requires working with strong personalities, working through existing church government structures and providing change when necessary, being willing to make hard decisions, not seeking out confrontation but not avoiding it either when it is necessary, and the list continues…
We at Grace For You Ministries recognize the need for additional leadership training for our pastors and future pastors. Grace For You Ministries provides current Seminary Students (NOBTS) with unique opportunities to garner the necessary experience and confidence to enter into pastoral ministry. We invite you to explore the Pastoral Residency Program.
